Wellcome to the Jungle! The world must stop this now. Deforestation and destruction of biodiversity in the name of economical "progress". There are still a lot of brazilians remaining with this point of view. Some of them are graduated people keeping this ignorant opinion and they must be stopped before a severe harm is done to our climate.
Belo Monte Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
Published 27 March 2009 Belo Monte Hydroeletric Dam , indigenous people , News , People of the Xingu , Xingu River; Environment and Geography Leave a CommentTags: accelerated development plan, amazon, arara, Belo Monte, brazil, destruction, environment, hydroelectric dam, hydroelectricity, indians, indigenous people, Juruna, kararao, pac, social issues, threats, Xicrin, xingu, Yudja
The Brazilian Environment Agency, IBAMA, now has the EIA for the Belo Monte dam project, and parts are beginning to leak out.
Wading through the mix of academic, governmental and industrial jargon, it is easy to lose sight of the real, actual and immediate impacts that this monstrous project will have on the environment and the people of the Xingu.
The sections I have seen so far cover the impact on the area known as the Volta Grande, and on the diversity and populations of fish species. They make depressing reading. Phrases like “The impact will be irreversible, of the highest significance and of a high magnitude. The duration will be permanent, it will affect the entire cycle, the impact will be immediate and will take effect in the short term. The nature of the impact will be negative” occur several times.
My thoughts go back to our time on the river. We navigated the bubbling, crystal waters of the Volta Grande when we visited the Yudja (Juruna) village of Paquissamba. The river was alive with rapids, and fish were plentiful in the healthy waters. Occasionally, local people, both Indians and settlers, would pass in their boats with a friendly wave.
All of this will come to an abrupt halt if this project goes forward. The rushing, clean water will be replaced by fetid, stagnant pools and lakes full of mosquito larvae and dying fish. The already difficult-to-navigate channels will dry up and become impassable. The rocky riverbed, stripped of its water, will attract the attention of illegal gold prospectors, adding to the environmental destruction.
People who rely on the fish for their daily food will be forced from the area into the fringes of Altamira, to swell the already crowded and insanitary shanty towns which line the urban waterways. Nobody knows what will happen to the Yudja, or to the Arara settlement on the opposite side of the river. The Xicrin of Bacaja will no longer be able to navigate the river from their villages to the town, making the already long and dangerous journey in search of medical help impossible. Having made the Indians reliant on outside help, the government now plans to cut them off from the outside world.
The most productive land, in the areas beside the rivers which are flooded by rich sediment-laden water each year, will disappear below the water, or be left permanently dry and starved of its annual input of natural fertiliser. The people who farm this land will lose their livelihoods and be forced to migrate.
In terms of biodiversity, the impact could not be greater. The Volta Grande attracts adventurous fishermen from all over the world to pursue the rare game fish to be found there. These, some of them endemic, will be dramatically affected; many are likely to die out completely under the environmental stress of such a sudden and profound change in the local ecology.
My loss will be the chance to visit again a place of wild and unfettered beauty, to battle the rapids and to explore the myriad channels, backwaters and islands. But the loss to the local people and to mankind will be greater, the loss of species and the loss of a vibrant ecosystem, which is one of the few areas of the world where Man has had only a marginal impact.
Millions of tons of concrete will change this place forever. We need to fight this environmental crime with all of the weapons available to us.

Brazilian Supreme Court Decision – Raposa/Serra do Sol
Published 11 December 2008 In the Media , indigenous people , News Leave a CommentTags: amazon, brazil, indians, indigenous, indigenous people, Ingarikó, judgement, Macuxi, Patamona, rain forest, rainforest, Raposa/Serra do Sol, Roaraima, south america, south american, STF, Supreme Court, Taurepang, threats, Wapichana
In a landmark decision yesterday, eight of the eleven judges of the Brazilian Supreme Court voted in favour of the demarcation of the Raposa/Serra do Sol Indigenous Reserve respecting the existing boundaries mapped by FUNAI, the government Indian agency, with no votes against.
Disappointingly, one judge asked for more time to consider his decision, putting back the effective date of the judgement until early 2009, and another also decided to delay casting his vote. The third undecided judge was the president of the court, who traditionally only casts his vote last.
However, it seems that all parties now accept that the final decision will mean the removal of large industrial rice farms from Indian land, the expulsion of settlers and an eventual end to the threats and violence the Indians have suffered for thirty years at the hands of invading farmers.
Discussion is now moving towards demands for massive compensation, with the Governor of Roraima State, José Anchieta Júnior, supporting the claims of six large-scale rice farmers, while accepting that there is now no alternative but to accept the ruling.
The delay in making the judgement final means that there will be a period of several months when the 19,000 Indian inhabitants will be at the mercy of the invaders’ frustration. There is a serious danger of renewed violence in the area.
Joênia Batista de Carvalho, a lawyer acting for the Indians who is herself a Wapichana Indian, called for heightened security in the area.
“We are demanding that the authorities and FUNAI immediately reinforce the security in the region to maintain the peace,” she said. “We already know the outcome, and they [the rice farmers] also know that they are going to have to leave the area, so it is essential to increase security to avoid new conflicts.”
The Indians belong to five ethnic groups: Macuxi, Wapichana, Ingarikó, Taurepang and Patamona. They occupy an area of 1.7 million hectares. The rice producers wanted to exclude them from practically all of the fertile areas, leaving them to scratch a living from small patches of less productive land.
The judges brushed aside wild claims by the rice farmers and their supporters that demarcation of the reserve would be handing over control of a sensitive border area to foreign interests, insisting that the police and army would retain the right of access to the area despite the demarcation.
In other areas, the army often maintains good relations with indigenous people, who often benefit from transport and health provided by the army.
The judgement will affect the demarcation of other disputed Indian territories. The government will have to adopt new directives laid down by the court, which affect the process by which the remaining Indian territories which still have not been fully demarcated are handled.
A decision in favour of reducing the legally demarcated area, which would have left the Indians isolated in a series of small ‘islands’ of reserve, could have opened up the possibility of a new wave of challenges to other reserves which have already been demarcated. This is now much less likely, leaving Indians in many parts of Brazil with added security and more confidence in their future.

AN IMMINENT ECOLOGICAL DISASTER IS READY TO HAPPEN. THIS IS AN ALERT, CAUSE WHEN INTERNATIONAL GOVERNMENTS, NGO'S AND AMBIENTALISTS AWAKE, IT'LL BE TOO LATE. WE'VE ONLY SEEN CONCERNED PEOPLE LIKE JAMES CAMERON OR SIGOURNEY WEAVER COME TO BRAZIL AND SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT, BUT THOSE WHO SHOULD ACT ARE NOT ACTING TO DEFEND OUR GREEN NATURE. MEANWHILE THE DEVIL IN THE PERSONIFICATION OF BRAZILIAN MINISTER EDSON LOBÃO IS ACTING, AND HE IS READY TO START THIS CONSTRUCTION THAT WILL BE ONE OF ALL TIMES GREATEST ECOLOGICAL DISASTERS OF HUMANITY.

BELO MONTE WOULD BE BIGGER THAN THE PANAMA CHANNEL, SUBMERGING AT LEAST 4000.000 HECTARES OF RAINFOREST, EXPULSING 40.000 ORIGINAL INDIANS AND LOCAL POPULATIONS AND DESTROYING THE PRECIOUS NATURAL HABITAT OF NUMEROUS SPECIES- this energy could be easily created with more investiments in energetic efficency. PRESSURE ON PRESIDENT DILMA IS INCREASING: THE PRESIDENT OF IBAMA HAS JUST RESIGNED!!!, REFUSING TO SIGN THE AMBIENTAL LICENSE TO BELO MONTE AND EXPOSING THE POLITICAL PRESSURE TO KEEP ON WITH THIS DEVASTATING PROJECT. SPECIALISTS, INDIAN LEADERSHIPS AND THE CIVIL SOCIETY AGREE THAT BELO MONTE IS AN AMBIENTAL DISASTER IN THE HEART OF AMAZONIA.THE CONSTRUCTION MAY START SOON!! LET'S INCREASE THE PRESSURE ON DILMA TO STOP BELO MONTE!!! SIGN THE PETITION, BEFORE THE TRACTORS START WORKING- THIS PETITION WILL BE DIRECTED TO BRASÍLIA.

As obras poderão começar logo. Vamos aumentar a pressão para Dilma parar Belo Monte! Assine a petição, antes que as escavadeiras comecem a trabalhar -- ela será entregue em Brasília.

THE CONSTRUCTION OF BELO MONTE HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER STATION IS TURNING TO BE A JUDICIAL BATTLE. SO, NGOs, GOVERNMENTS, AND THOSE WHO ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT OF OUR PLANET SHOULD ARGUE IBAMA ABOUT THE LICENCES THAT'S BEEN GIVEN TO THE BRAZILIAN GOVERNMENT TO START THE CONSTRUCTION. IBAMA IS A FEDERAL ORGANIZATION CREATED TO PROTECT THE ECOLOGICAL SYSTEMS, AND NOW IBAMA IS GIVING TO THE BRAZILIAN GOVERNMENT, A PERMISSION TO START THIS CONSTRUCTION IN THE HEART OF THE RAINFOREST. 6.000 INDIANS ARE PROTESTING AND SOME OF THEM WENT TO BRASILIA TO MAKE A PROTEST, BUT MINISTER LOBÃO DECLARED THAT THE HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER STATION WILL BE CONSTRUCTED IN THIS AREA. THIS MINISTER(LOBÃO) WAS A MINISTER IN THE LULA GOVERNMENT AND CONTINUES IN THE ACTUAL GOVERNMENT OF DILMA. "HE HAD SOME LEGAL PROBLEMS WITH JUSTICE AND ACCUSATIONS OF CORRUPTION SOME TIME AGO".

NOTÍCIA PUBLICADA EL 26/10/2010 EN LOS DIÁRIOS DE BRASIL SOBRE LA CONSTRUCCIÓN DE LA USINA HIDROELÉCTRICA DE BELO MONTE:
26/10/2010- Belo Monte: Sin Infraestructura.

It's summer! Sunday night at the beach.
The longest beach in the world is here in the state of Rio Grande do Sul/RS. The coast of RS State has more than 600 km in length, and only one of those beaches is considered the longest beach in the world, 255km of an ininterrupted beach of white sand. Nothing to heavy, no rocks, just the sand and warm water.
It's Praia do Cassino Beach: At over 150 miles in length, this is the longest beach in the entire world. Brazil’s beaches are known for their white sand, warm temperatures and welcoming locals. Any trip here is going to be hot, hot, hot! All sorts of water activities can be enjoyed here but surfing is the most popular pastime.
Definitely the largest beach is the Cassino Beach located on the state of Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil. It begins at the Molhes (stone barrier built into the ocean separating the beach from the entrance to the Rio Grande seaport) in Cassino beach to nearly Chuí, on the border with Uruguay.
Cassino Beach is definitely the longest beach in the world with 255 Km of coast.
Extreme south of Brazil.

BRAZILIAN GOVERNMENT IS THE TERMINATOR OF GENUINE NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS. The following video was showed on sunday night ,09/01/2011, on the sunday night TV program with the largest audience in Brazil. The next day, monday, 10/01/2011, TV and radio stations programmation continue without mentioning that, it's like they're pretending nothing's happening. So, if the brazilian government and society aren't able to preserve that, international pressure and "HELP" is needed to protect this cultures that are disappearing. The agent from FUNAI that appears in this video asks for HELP, and says that if nothing's done immediatly, they will be extinguished.
Lumbers, farmers, hunters and invaders have attacked indians inside protected indian terrytory. Indians calmly ask for protection. The agent that works for FUNAI, (the official brazilian governmental organization created to protect indians), who appears in this video says that if this accelerated process of invasions continues, the future for them is extintion. An old indian mother has been shooted on the arm by a fire gun.

People are not giving the importance it deserves to deforestation in the brazilian rain forest. We're seeing a judicial battle between IBAMA (who can give the licenses to the project of Belo Monte hydro-electric power station to be done) versus Brazilian government, who pressures IBAMA to give the licenses to install this project. Foreign ONG's and governments environmentally concerned should argue IBAMA about this project and those licenses, but nobody does nothing. Could it be that maybe they think there are more important subjects in the world nowadays?

A new and creative architecture is necessary to occupy the spaces inside the rainforest area. A new way of life and mentality, a new approach on urbanization is needed, but people are not evoluted and ready for that, so they are destroying the rainforest. Ignorance is destroiyng the rainforest.

PAUL MCCARTNEY: A BEATLE IN PORTO ALEGRE.
The way to the show:
Eternal beatle Paul McCartney did a great show here in Porto Alegre on sunday, 7, november, in the stadium of the Sport Club Internacional(Colorado), soccer/foot-ball team. We couldn't ask for more, (we could only imagine the other Beatles playing along with him). Porto Alegre was the first show of the 2010 latin american tour. We had some moment of poetry when he was singing :"Venus and Mars are alright tonight", and watching the sky pointing the stars on a hot stary night. He dedicated 1 song to John Lennon, 1 song to George Harrison and one song to Linda. He warmed the crowd saying "Eu sou gaúcho".
We would like to hear every Beatle songs played by him & his band, cause, if John Lennon were alive, I don't know if he would be with his last wife, but I'm sure he would be singing and playing like he always did, and in a good mental and physical shape, so we keep on imagining how good it would be this show with John sharing the stage, along with the strong guitar and harmony vocals of George, and the right swing of Ringo Star. From here Paul went to Buenos Aires and did 2 more shows, and then returned to São Paulo, Brazil, on saturday,20/11, to do 2 more shows. We would like to hear more songs from The Beatles in the show. We're already waiting for the next time here in POA.

SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE RIGHT NOW! THE ACTUAL LEADING STATESMEN OF THE WORLD DON'T DO NOTHING, THEY'VE LOST THE FOCUS, THEY'RE TOO BUSY SPENDING MORE MONEY AND ENERGY THAN NEEDED TO COMBAT TERRORISM.
OF COURSE WE MUST ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON THEM, THAT WILL ALWAYS HAVE TO BE DONE, BUT THEY'RE OVEREVALUATING THE WRONG THINGS, GIVING SOME PEOPLE THE IMPORTANCE THEY DON'T HAVE, THEY'RE SO DESPICABLE THAT THEY DON'T EVEN NEED TO BE MENTIONED, BUT WE ALWAYS HAVE TO WATCH OVER THEM.
YOU ARE WINING IF YOU COMBAT THOSE THINGS WITHOUT SPENDING SO MUCH TIME, MONEY AND ENERGY.
IN KOPPENHAGEN/2010, WHILE THE RAINFOREST IS BEING DESTROYED,THEY SPENT TIME GREETING AND PRAISING EACH OTHER, AND THEY DID NOTHING TO STOP THE ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION OF OUR PLANET.
"NOBODY SAID A WORD TO LULA ABOUT THE DEFORESTATION AND THE DESTRUCTION OF THE RAINFOREST", AND WE HAD TO STAND IT AND SEE LULA POSING AS THE "GOOD BOY" AND PROTECTOR OF NATURE WHILE HE'S NOT DOING HIS HOMEWORK WELL.

IT WILL BE DONE IN XINGU RIVER, ONE OF THE BIGGEST RIVERS OF AMAZONAS: IMAGINE 2 CITIES WITH THE DISTANCE OF 516KM BETWEEN THEM, AND NOW THINK ABOUT 516 KM2, THEN YOU CAN HAVE THE NOTION OF THE DIMENSION OF THE AREA THAT WILL BE INUNDATED AND TOTALLY SUBMERGED TO PRODUCE ELECTRICITY TO OTHER REGIONS FAR AWAY FROM THERE, LIKE SÃO PAULO, (BECAUSE IN THIS REGION THEY DON'T NEED ALL THIS ELECTRICITY) . THIS IS THE PROJECT OF "BELO MONTE HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER STATION", PROJECTED TO BE ONE OF THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD. MILLIONS OF ANIMALS AND A GREAT VARIATION OF THE RICHEST BIODIVERSITY OF OUR PLANET (MORE THAN 400 SPECIES IN 100 meters2) WILL BE LOST FOREVER AND WILL REST UNDER THE WATER. YOU MAY ASK IF THERE'S ANY VIABLE PLAN TO SAVE THOSE ANIMALS AND PLANTS AND THE ANSWER IS NO, THERE'S NOT ANY VIABLE PLAN TO SAVE THIS TREASURE. SIX INDIAN COMMUNITYS(ARARAS, KAIAPOS, AND OTHERS...) ARE REALLY AFFRAID ABOUT THEIR FUTURE. SOME OF THE ADJACENT RIVERS FROM WHERE THEY GET THEIR SUBSISTENCE WILL GET DRY, OTHER RIVERS WILL OVERFLOW. THE GOVERNMENT IS TALKING ABOUT RELOCATING THEM, BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO LEAVE THE LAND WHERE THEY LIVE SINCE THE PRE-COLOMBIAN YEARS. FEDERAL AMBIENTALIST ORGANIZATIONS WERE NOT APPROVING THAT PROJECT, AND THE GOVERNMENT STARTED MAKING PRESSURE OVER THOSE ORGANIZATIONS AND THE CONGRESSMEN TO APPROVE IT, SAYING THAT ENVIROMENTALISTS ARE EXAGERATING AND OVER ESTIMATING THE PROBLEMS. What can we do to stop the destruction and deforestation that is done everyday? An international pressure would be wellcome and it's necessary. Brazilian artists and people on the media, press, politicians, writers, musicians, movie makers, are always trying to promote themselves and their works, they like to talk to the press, but they don't express any clear opinion about those vital problems of the country. They are totally alienated to those important subjects and problems. They like to be on the spot of the camera, but they are fearful to say what they're really thinking about those matters, if ever they think something, or to express their opinions about that, if ever they ever had any opinion. Meanwhile, politicians, the congressmen, illegal lumbers, business men, a great variety of political thiefs in suits doing petty politics and all kind of stupid people are seeking their interests, one of the richest biodiversitys of the world is being destroyed and lost. Some stupid sense of domain and soberany prevails. But this is not a question of "it's my country", it's a matter of extermination of life on Earth, it's terrorism against nature and wildlife.
Brazilian indians are more modern and interesting than the actual rock stars and pop stars, and less stupid than people who think their religion is more important than the others, and are fighting against each other, for a little piece of land, and we should try to learn with them instead of exterminate them. Brazilian indians know to cohabit with the jungle without destroying it, so if our society wants to evolute, we should start to study them from the distance, then maybe someday we would be prepared to contact them whitout doing any harm.
In Brasil, politicians transfered the capital from Rio de Janeiro, creating and building Brasilia in the middle west. And we should ask, Why? They brought a lot of destruction. They should leave the center of Brazil to wildlife and the indian nations. There's a lot of fine territory in the rest of Brasil, in direction to the Atlantic coast. Before the sixties, when the capital was in Rio, Rio was a pretty city, and the politicians were working close to the population and they had to behave well. They must had fear to take tomatoes and eggs on their face each time they leave Congress if they did wrong things. Now it seems like they're hiding from the population, stuck in Brasilia (too far away), they brought a decadent society with marginality to Brasilia, and Rio is also abandoned to marginality. Rio and Brasilia are now two focus of decadence, apart all the other big cities . And we still have to pay those politicians semanal airplane tickets every week, so they can go to their hometown cities on weekends, and get back to work in Brasilia during the week, to do petty politics and dirty business, cause that's what they do in the Congress.
The amount of duties and taxes the government collects from the population is incredible, and it's not restored in services. So it's understandable the government has no crisis, the crisis is left with the population that work hard, produce, make the country grow, have a hard struggle for life and receive so little.
Medidas a serem tomadas para evitar ou pelo menos diminuir a destruição das florestas:
1-Educação principalmente para as pessoas que vivem em cidades com áreas limítrofes= Education to urban populations from citys bordering and inside the rainforest, like Manaus, capital of the State of Amazonas, and Belém, capital of the State of Pará.
2-Pressão política sobre os governantes: (politic pressure, economic bargain, and cultural activities ).

BRAZIL 2010/ ELECTIONS - PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN: NOTHING WILL CHANGE, DEFORESTATION IN THE NAME OF PROGRESS WILL CONTINUE, IT'S THE SAME SICK OLD SPEECH.
![]() http://blog.nanwebware.com/2010/04/avatar-and-marina-silva.html | |
| 3º. Marina Silva, ecological candidate, was very influential in 2010 brazilian elections, ex-environment minister of President Lula, she resigned. One of the reasons is that she is against the construction of the mega hydro-electric power station on Xingu river, and she was suffering a lot of pressure to change her points of view. |
![]() |
| 1º. Dilma Rousseff & Lula: Dilma was the principal minister of president Lula, she's more prepared than him. Lula is an unlearned man, and Dilma is an economist, but that's not enough. The world's today problems require an environmental aproach, another philosophy than just the yearning for economical growth. |
![]() | |||
| 2º.José Serra: ex-governor of the state of São Paulo. São Paulo has a lot of problems, so, if he couldn't resolve São Paulo's problems, how could he resolve Brazilian problems? |
One of those above had chances to be the President of Brazil. Dilma won the elections, so there won't be substantially changes. People will continue to live like poors, being in a super rich country, and still having to thank that they are less miserable than in the past!
We've seen elections for president here in Brazil. We've seen three principal candidates with chances to be the next President of Brazil: 1º.Dilma Roussef (ex-minister of the actual government, who quit her cargo as Minister to do her campaign for president), 2º.José Serra, an old politician, and 3º.Marina Silva (ex-minister of environment of Lula's government, who resigned and left the PT:Partido dos Trabalhadores, the political faction of president Lula). Dilma Roussef and José Serra are favorable to the construction of mega hydro-electric power station Belo Monte, and if they can they will do that, and that will cause an ecological disaster and social harm to native communitys. Marina Silva is against that construction, and she was the only hope for those who are ecologically concerned and are against that project, once that we haven't seen any effective international pressure. This government is receptive to persuasion only when it comes from goverments that apart from being fair, are politically influential and have economic power to bargain, but unfortunately, this international pressure by other governments over the environment topics in Brazil are not being done. Dilma Roussef, is an economist. I studied in the same classroom with her when I was studing economy, in U.F.R.G.S. Economics University, (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul= Economics Public Federal University of the state of Rio Grande do Sul). Althought Dilma was my schoolmate, I didn't get to know her well. A friend of mine knew her better, but I can't say a lot more because he is married now, and he was married at that time. Luckilly I quit in the second year to study architecture, and after 1,5 year I quit again to play music and learn about real life. I have no regrets, I'm proud of that! I would be ashamed to have a label as an economist or an architect because that's not my nature. It was in the UFRGS university that Dilma Roussef got her degree and diploma as an economist. She had a good training as an economist being a minister of state on Lula's administration , and also learned a lot working previously for other local governments here from Rio Grande do Sul. She is affiliated to PT( Partido dos Trabalhadores), the same politic faction of president Lula. Lula is an unlearned man who knows to talk to unlettered classes. He is Dilma's protector and supportted her campaign for presidency. Dilma will try to lead this country to be an economical potence, but the problem is that nowadays, to take economical steps, you have to take into account the environment factors. John M. Keynes economical theories and other macroeconomical currents were written when our planet wasn't in such environmental vulnerability as it is today. You can't grow infinitely, you better transform yourself, preferentially for better, but if you keep growing infinitely in the same restricted space, instead of changing your ways and evoluting, there's theorically the possibility that someday you might explode. China is not a good example to copy.
What's the advantage of being economically developed if you have to live in cities where you can't breathe.
When economical growth comes with ecologycal harm that's no good. There's much more than the economical riches to enrich our lives. You can't underestimate the strenght of "SOFT POWER" and cultural power, that opens new doors to create new economical partners, and even change their ways for better.
Actually, the problems with the preservation of the amazonian rainforest in Brazil are very complex. It's a big problem and difficult to resolve. But not impossible. This problem also has the time factor, we're running against time, and time is running out!

In this exact minute, they are burning parts of the rainforest in Brazil! We need help! 15% it's been devastated to a point of no return.
Government in Brazil turn a blind eye to corruption and deforestation by lumbers. They're too much busy making petty politics trying too keep in control.
Let's face the truth. There's an old said that this country grows at night, while the politicians and governors are sleeping, so they don't get in the way. It's so big and rich but in spite of all the potential we have, we see corruption in all levels, corrupted jurisdictions, polices and city halls, social unequality that leads to criminality, and a population that works hard to pay some of the world's highest amount of duties and taxes that this government collects, a big part of it it's dilute in self promotion campaigns. People really work hard and make the country grows, but they are not well payed.
In "one" month, deforestation have increased 775%. (By INPE: Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais):

Neste exato momento a floresta amazônica está sendo destruída no Brasil. Pressão internacional se faz necessária sobre o governo brasileiro! A conservação e preservação das matas restantes na floresta amazônicas está em jogo! É necessário agir agora e prevenir o desmatamento desenfreado que está sendo cometido dia a dia contra um dos maiores patrimônios da humanidade: A Floresta Amazônica.
