In this exact minute, they are burning parts of the rainforest in Brazil! We need help! 15% it's been devastated to a point of no return.

Government in Brazil turn a blind eye to corruption and deforestation by lumbers. They're too much busy making petty politics trying too keep in control. Let's face the truth. There's an old said that this country grows at night, while the politicians and governors are sleeping, so they don't get in the way. It's so big and rich but in spite of all the potential we have, we see corruption in all levels, corrupted jurisdictions, polices and city halls, social unequality that leads to criminality, and a population that works hard to pay some of the world's highest amount of duties and taxes that this government collects, a big part of it it's dilute in self promotion campaigns. People really work hard and make the country grows, but they are not well payed.

In "one" month, deforestation have increased 775%. (By INPE: Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais):

Neste exato momento a floresta amazônica está sendo destruída no Brasil. Pressão internacional se faz necessária sobre o governo brasileiro! A conservação e preservação das matas restantes na floresta amazônicas está em jogo! É necessário agir agora e prevenir o desmatamento desenfreado que está sendo cometido dia a dia contra um dos maiores patrimônios da humanidade: A Floresta Amazônica.

Brazilian indians are "against" the construction of BELO MONTE hydro-electric power station.

Brazil has the largest part of the amazonian rainforest, and everyday a part of it is destroyed. After the original vegetation is burned, or the trees extracted by lumbers, farmers start to do monoculture plantations or raising cattle(80% of deforestation is for cattle) in the rain forest territory. Apart of that, the urban people of those cities don't have enviromental education, and the local governments don't do educational campaigns, or architectural and urbanistic studies. There is a lot of corruption inside those administrations. They're only trying to keep in control of city halls and governments, doing politic alliances with the intention to earn votes for the next elections, so the less education people have, the easier it will be to convince them or to buy their votes. As a result of  that we see an increasing criminality. Apart of politicians, policemen also are not well payed and great part of them are corrupted, a lot of lawyers, governors and district judges too, so you don't know exactly in who will you trust.
