The OSESP - Symphony Orchestra of São Paulo played at the Royal Albert Hall in London under the baton of conductor Marin Alsop, from New York, USA. My nephew Rodrigo plays cello in the orchestra. He was delighted with the place, the city, the people and the accommodations, they had one room for each member. I didn't know that the Royal Albert Hall was so big. Holds 6,000 spectators. When the screen was opened they were surprised to see so many people. He told my mother that looked like a soccer stadium for so many people. Here, the symphony orchestras do not usually have as many spectators in theaters rooms. I also saw on brazilian TV an interview with conductor Marin Alsop saying that if they had done two shows, had overbooked the two, such was the demand for tickets. In London they performed with the Brazilian pianist Nelson Freire. Also played works by Villa-Lobos of Brazil, Argentine composer Ginastera. After, they performed in Amsterdam.
